I don't expect anything for free (well, not much anyway), but I find it shocking that hotels still are unable (unwilling) to offer proper affordable Internet access for guests.

I'm staying in a hotel in Greenwich (£155 a night!) and am paying 30p per minute to access MC.

I'm too sad/dedicated!   :?

Why? Surely there might be some member/s near there you could tie in with and even have a night of the "Glorious Amber Nector and Mud Talk" 8)

SWMBO says she paid about £25.00 for the time she spent on the internet whilst looking for a holiday on Monday night at the Holiday Inn in Leicester

And she didn't find one, but they're going now :D

At £155 per night I would expect free internet access and someone to do the typing for me!!  8-[

Would that be whilst having a massage and being fed peeled grapes from a silver platter?

I was in Hanover a couple of weeks ago, staying at a hotel attached to a convention centre, and had to pay €75 (not far off 50 quid) for 12 hours' Broadband access.  At home that would have bought me 2 months.  And it kept dropping out too!

The restaurant was abysmal as well...  but at least they forgot to charge me for the meal.

I'm off to Delhi in the morning for 3 weeks.  The hotel I stay in is top dollar (the company pay, of course) and they have wireless internet access.  It doesn't cost that much tbh, but being an old marble constructed building the reception is not always good.

Oh, and the 4 restaurants are fantastic.
