In "Haynes" it says use 90 in the transferbox & in the workshop manuel it says use ATF.
I presume the w/shop manuel is right but would loke some other peoples opinions.

I will stand corrected, but all the transfer boxes I have done were 90

The gearboxes are atf though, could that be what it means?

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Thats what I have always thought as well Hobbit but With Haynes saying ATF I thought it best to check & get the opinion of some people who have serviced recently.--Thanks--Cogs

gearbox is ATF & T box is EP90
for a smoother change use dex 3 ATF which is slightly dearer

Forkarm is right, only the RRC got the B-W box so not as many people are aware of that fact.  I used ep 80x/90 in one for over a year, with an oil additive in it too without problems though.

It's worse than that, the later 4-speed auto box has a different ATF specified than the rest of the transmission, not forgetting the PAS either.
