Problems playing mps files
« on: August 07, 2010, 15:35:23 »
Hi guys (and gals),

I know there are a number of knowledgable peeps on here so I thought this is the place to come for some help. Okay, is that enough grovelling?

I recently bought a new min-hifi - Hitachi AXM898U - to replace a dead system at home. One of the attractions of this unit is the ability to play mp3 files from either an SD/MMC card or USB stick. The problem I'm having is that the system doesn't recognise all of the albums that I have put onto the SD card. It sees the first two okay but anything after that is ignored. The USB input appears to work properly.

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
Regards

The length of characters used in naming can sometimes cause problems.

Try copying a few tracks (so you don't mess about with originals) and put them in a folder called '1' and name the tracks '1' '2' '3'  just so there's the smallest amount of characters in the name as possible - see if that helps?

Make sure that your card is also formatted in fat32
