propshaft removal freelander 1

Hi I need to convert to two wheel drive do I remove rear propshaft or front part ?

From the front of the diff forwards, I think there are 2 pieces with the troublesome bit in the middle.  The prop comes off the IRD at the front through a CV joint, 6 bolts and it should leave the IRD serviceable.   The back end is 4 bolts on a UJ flange.
